Vibe Check February 2021

Vibe Check February 2021

Welcome to the monthly Vibe Check! This is a segment that we wanted to expand further from the newsletter’s ‘’What’s Up With Us’’. Just like before, we will be talking about our experiences from the past month with some more in-depth insights about what inspired us!

Slime Rancher is a casual adventure game with farming sim elements. The goal is to explore an island filled with slimes, which you can capture. You can feed them and harvest resources from them which you can sell or use for research.

Wesley: "Picked up this game after seeing it on a Jerma stream. I've been playing it every now and then ever since. Great game if you just want to wind down a bit!"

Persona 5 Strikers is the latest installment in the Persona series! It's a crossover between Persona 5 and Dynasty Warriors, and features elements from both games. As a result of this, it has a unique combat system where it combines hack-and-slash with turn-based combat.

Quentin: "This is my first time delving into the Persona series. I really love the art style and how immersive the menus are and the whole gameplay experience is. I can't wait to play the rest of the games!"

After 28 years, the legendary duo Daft Punk split up. Their influence on music is indisputable, and they played a huge part in our generation as well. At the very least, let's wish them the best and hope for more solo music from them in the future!

James: “Hearing the news is just soul crushing... Throughout my life, their music has always been a major influence. I was hoping that I'd get a chance to see them live. Thank you, and good bye, Daft Punk.”

Monster Hunter Rise is the next upcoming title from the Monster Hunter action RPG series. It's scheduled for release on March 26th on Nintendo Switch. Get hype!

Dave: "I think Monster Hunter Rise will take the best features from the classic games and combine it with World's streamlined nature. I'm all for that!"

Thanks for reading! Hopefully we inspired you to check out something new. Stay tuned for next month's issue!
